UMI coffee is from Oromia region Djimma Zone Gera for cultivating coffee. Its coffee plantation is located at highland altitude from 1800-2100 m.a.s.I. The area is very ideal for coffee plantation having an annual rain fall of 1800-2180 ml .

Different selected verities (74-165, 74-40, 74-110, 74-112, 74-1 and 75-227) which are highly productive and diseased resistant have already been planted in tracon’s coffee farm. No chemical fertilizers, insecticide are being used. The coffee is grown in sustainable agricultural system where it takes into account the socio and economic aspects.
